The Belmont Skating Club has been teaching skills, technique and sportsmanship to all levels of skaters in our community for over 50 years. We are a not-for-profit, Skate Canada sanctioned club, made possible thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers working alongside our professional skating coaches.
Our programs run from September to March based on the ice availability at the Belmont Arena.
CanSkate is a learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. For beginners of all ages but a minimum of 3 years of age, the program teaches a complete series of balance, control and agility skills using six stages of learning that pertain to hockey, ringette, speed skating and figure skating as well as general recreational skating.
STARSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating.
